City Club Hotel

The hotel is very nice,room is exceptional..but to pay 190$ a night with such a breakfast?improve your breakfast,u can’t serve oranges,bananas and bread without anything else..no eggs,no bacon,nothing and u call that breakfast??

Behind the small, humble lobby you will find well maintained rooms with a classy charm of a historic building that offered more than I expected including free welcome snacks, refrigerator, robes and more. My special thanks goes to Anish & Billy. They both excelled in delivering exceptional guest service. It was them who made me feel welcomed each time I returned to the hotel after a long day. Last but not least I’d like to highlight my appreciation for Anish's professionalism on my check-out day, as he went above and beyond to help me with sudden challenges after I found out the hotel had no room available for additional night and I needed to pack all of my stuff asap. I was extremely grateful for his proactive attitude. Personal tip: If you want to feel like a princess/prince in a little castle, book a family duplex on the second floor - the ceiling in the bathroom is a piece of art and the stairs are just beautiful!

I loved how close it was to many of the touristic site such as Times Square, Rockafellar Center, theaters etc. Subways were very close by for places that were farther away. The girl who checked us in was very friendly. Carol from the breakfast bar was extremely friendly which is always nice to see in the mornings. Richard the doorman was very helpful with information and answering questions with directions.

This hotel was a sweet find among much fancier places nearby. The decor was interesting & unique. The room was spacious with extra places to sit & a little table. The bathroom was surprisingly large, including a very large shower. The location was so close to everything I planned to do, including one of my favorite breakfast places --- so I did not partake of the breakfast included, but there were plenty of people enjoying themselves in the breakfast room. I have stayed in more than a few bargain rooms in NYC, and this was, perhaps, the best. I would totally stay again. Bonus, the staff was very friendly & helpful. Even the TV was easy to use and offered tons of channels.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and found the location to be absolutely perfect. Everything was walking distance, including Broadway, Rockefeller Center and shopping, conveniently located near public transportation the staff were very helpful. The cleanliness was acceptable, but not superb. On arrival we were told that we were upgraded to a larger suite, but I can’t imagine what the smaller one would’ve looked like since ours was tiny. I definitely would not describe the stay as luxurious, however it was suitable for the price point.
